Greetings all! The holiday season is once again upon us and we find it difficult to comprehend! Weren't we just saying have a nice summer and stay cool?? We suppose we'd better get on the ball and get into the spirit of things which will be easy, considering
we have all of you to be thankful for!
We had a great
November! The first weekend at The Hawthorne Inn since May was a very good time! Saw SO many happy faces. Some of both
of our relatives were there, plus some people surprised us from other venues (you KNOW who you are!)! Nan’s 89 year
old Aunt Em stopped by with Cousin John….what a nice surprise! She’s
really something else! When you meet her, you can understand where Nan gets so much of her charm and sense of humor!!! :0)
We had some wonderful
parties including a 10th Anniversary for our good friends Wilby & Lois! Has
it been that long ALREADY?????? They both looked stunning in the outfits they
wore 10 years ago, and they recited their vows again, which brought many a tear to many an eye!
The other big
news of the day was that Cheryl, Charlie and Cindy Stevens’s daughter, is pregnant!!
Congratulations to Cheryl and Nate! It’s was only a couple of years
ago that we played at their wedding!! Charlie & Cindy will be grandparents…hooray!
We met Charlie in the 90’s when we were doing The Atrium Lounge at Foxwood's
Casino. He was with a jammin’ jazz group in the Intermezzo lounge. We've been friends ever since, and met Wilby and Lois through him, plus their entire
families! You never know who you're going to meet, and where it’s going
to lead!
Also had a nice
time at The New York Athletic Club in The Pelham’s. The rowing club is
much different than The Manhattan Club! We like them both but this one
is much easier to drive to! No cabbies shouting at us, or people yelling “Do
you want to die young??” (Too late….ha!).
Had our usual
eventful weekend at The Water’s Edge.. Thanks to all who stopped by! The prize this month goes to AMANDA & TREVOR!! They were on their honeymoon from the great state of Minnesota and came to see us
both nights!! We must say…. if we thought everyone from Minnesota was that
nice, we'd move there! But…according to them…the people in Connecticut
are REALLY nice! We have to agree with them!
Hey Shirl(SIS!) & Tom...we've missed you..glad you stopped by!
We can't forget
the great surprise party for Tracey Joy!! Don't you love it when someone is totally
shocked to see a room full of family and friends there to celebrate a birthday!! It
was her 50th and believe it or not, we also played for her 40th! You don't look
a day older Tracey! Kudos to Ben for being able to pull this off without her
knowing!!
Also had a sparkling
time with The Shriner's…but we always do, don't we?? Looking forward to
seeing them again at their Holiday Ball!
We have many
parties again this month, so if we don't see you before the holidays, please have a peaceful, joyous holiday season and a
healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!! Always remember that we care very much
about all of you!
